Article of August 8, 2012 : It's the nOORRth...

The weather again put itself in "WINTER mode"! Ringing sessions are sometimes very short and because of the rain we are obliged to fold nets as a matter of urgency. Results of the races : our balance sheet is low.
In unusual species, we can note the capture of our second Black Redstart of this season.
Below are pictures of the four currents species of warblers which we can be ring at the station:

To begin, of course, Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla).

The little Lesser Whitethroat! (Sylvia curruca).

Whitethroat (Sylvia communis).

Garden Warbler (Sylvia borin).
