The ringing station of Fort-Vert is open all year round. The "migratory stop" programme starts in July and ends in November. Other ringing sessions are also held through all year in other context.
Anyone (banders or volunteers) willing to participate in ringing operations is welcome. It's only thanks to your help that bird ringing can be carried out.
No special knowledge in ornithology is required. If you want to, you can be initiated to bird identification and ringing practice by the ringer in charge and also learn more about different catching techniques (Helgoland trap, mist nets, canopy nets, ...)

An accomodation is available, free of charge. You would just have to pay for your food and travel. The building holds 2 dormitory room with 3 beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and toilets. Sheets are not provided, so please bring yours or your sleeping bag.
